In Baganga, Davao Oriental, a case of alleged vote-buying was monitored and documented by Kontra Daya. The group’s volunteers noticed P200 bills attached with sample ballots recommending the Alay Buhay Partylist, among others.
Various cases of PCOS machines rejecting ballots have been recorded in the Southern Mindanao Region. In Caraga, Davao Oriental, two ballots were rejected at around 3pm in the cluster of precinct numbers 3a, 4a, 4b, 5a and 6a. The PCOS machine reportedly shut down after five minutes.
As late as 5pm, ballots were also still being rejected by the PCOS machine in precinct number 1047 at the Mintal Elementary School, Davao City, Davao del Sur. (video: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=122420757961293&set=vb.100005801076884&type=2&theater)
Kontra Daya volunteers also reported that in San Victor, Davao Oriental, two voters almost lost their chance to vote because their names on the COMELEC checklist have been pre-signed by “ghost voters”.
