About Kontra Daya

What is Kontra Daya

Kontra Daya is a broad campaign of various organizations and individuals- religous, artists, youth and students, lawyers, IT experts, teachers, government employees and ordinary Filipinos- who commit themselves to oppose election fraud and other undemocratic practices during the election period.

Our Role:

1. Unite and mobilize forces opposed to electoral fraud

2. Help educate the people about the vulnerabilities of the automated elections and prepare them for action in the event of massive fraud or failure of elections

3. Expose and fight corruption, political repression and other abuses during the election period

4. Engage the COMELEC and other relevant agencies on major policies related to the elections.

5. Actively monitor and report on the conduct of the May 9 elections
