After the difficulty of getting PCOS machines to work this morning, election officials are now addressing another problem: PCOS machines are rejecting ballots in many areas in Luzon.

Many BEIs have resorted to improper ways of handling the malfunctioning PCOS machines. In Baguio, ballots were trimmed to fit into PCOS machines. In Pampanga, BEIs are using sticks to feed ballots into the PCOS machine to receive the ballots. In many precincts, BEIs refused to accept voters until the machines were fixed or suspended voting after ballots were rejected.

Reports that reached Kontra Daya did not mention the response of Smartmatic technicians or COMELEC officials to the various PCOS problems. #
