A strafing incident left one person dead in San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur, election watchdog Kontra Daya reports.

The incident happened at around 9:30 p.m. on May 12 in Barangay Poblacion, San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur, according to Kontra Daya’s field reports. The strafing killed Saudi Abu, a supporter of LP mayoralty candidate Dang Din-Mariano and injured a certain Parok Pua.

Initial reports identified Mariano’s contender, incumbent Vice-Mayor and NPC candidate Angelito Martinez, Jr. as a suspect in the incident. ###
