Polls are expected to close in a few hours, yet reports of defective PCOS machines throughout the metropolis continue to come in. The following defective machines in various Quezon City precincts were reported by Kontra Daya’s poll volunteers:
- PCOS precinct no. 1983 in Payatas B Elementary School, Brgy. Payatas B, Quezon City broke down earlier at 2:00 p.m.
- PCOS cluster no. 622 in Old Balara Elementary School
- PCOS cluster 1120 in Brgy. Talipapa
In Brgy. Talipapa, the PCOS machine reportedly stopped from 11:20 a.m. to 2:40 p.m. after overheating. Around 373 people were able to vote before the machine stopped.
Meanwhile, the aforementioned machine in Old Balara experienced technical difficulties in processing the ballots. “Niluluwa yung ballots kanina, ayaw naman tanggapin ngayon,” a Kontra Daya volunteer texted shortly before 3 pm. ###
