Even Makati City was not spared from its share of election-day troubles.
A power outage hit Brgy. Rizal and Brgy. Pembo earlier this morning from 9:30 to 11:40 a.m, causing schools to use generators. Affected poll precincts were Rizal Elementary School with 30 cluster precincts and 26,336 voters and Pembo Elementary School with 31 clustered precincts and 28,186 registered voters, according to Kontra Daya poll watchers.
Precinct cluster 248 in Cembo Elementary School experienced minor problems with its PCOS machine. A batch of ballots which were previously folded and creased had to be pressed down again in order to be fed into the machine properly, a volunteer for Kontra Daya reported. Polling operations resumed shortly afterwards.
A report of alleged vote-buying in San Isidro, Makati City was also monitored.
